<p>All it takes is the desire to re-connect with what&#8217;s most important to you. Somewhere at some time these things were probably clearer to you. As we grow, add responsibilities to our lives, and develop habits we often lose sight of these things.</p>
<p>To begin this process, we suggest you first start by allowing your life to directing you. Your day-to-day life has many gifts, understandings and much wisdom that is waiting for you if you open up to it. Inside us all is a deeper level of awareness &#8211;under the seeming reality&#8211; is a higher intelligence.  Observing our lives is the first step to start receiving these gifts.</p>
<p>Begin the investigation today! At first it&#8217;s a little easier to use your uncomfortable feelings as an alarm to stop, and identify what&#8217;s missing&#8211;what do you want in that situation that is causing you to feel uncomfortable? This is something that&#8217;s very important to you. When ever possible, use your happy feelings as an indicator of what to move towards.</p>
<p>Whether you are at work, spending time with family or at a party, become aware of what you&#8217;re feeling.  Does what you&#8217;re involved in motivate and excite you, or irritate you and drain your energy.  Head in the direction of purpose and meaning in life by simply doing more of what you love and less of what you don&#8217;t.</p>

This more limited category still has numerous resources for you to choose from. There are self help books, self help CDs, self help articles, and websites that are totally dedicated to self help motivation. With that said, how do you choose which resource would be the most beneficial for you?</p>
<p>In our opinion the first and most important thing for you to do is cnsider your personal needs or difficulties&#8211;what had you want to search out help in the first place.  As you move through this process you will become clearer about which resource might work best for you. This is true about any self help resource you might be looking for. Whether you&#8217;re looking for motivation techniques, confidence building skills or relationship advice, getting very clear about your specific need is essential in order to find help that will actually support YOU.</p>
<p>So how would you find a self help motivation resource that will actually get you motivated?</p>
<p>Trial and error is one possible way to find the support you&#8217;re looking for, usually followed by some amount of success if you stick to this process long enough. But we&#8217;d rather see you find what you&#8217;re looking for sooner rather than later.</p>
<p>So here&#8217;s a simple process to help you get faced in the right direction.</p>
<p>There are many resources that are focused toward specific areas of your life. When you identify which area you need support in you eliminate at least half of the resources available. Are the difficulties you&#8217;re having, getting or staying motivated more in your personal or professional life?</p>
<p>Once you determine this the next step is to make a list.  Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On one side of the paper right I&#8217;m motivated when&#8230; and on the other side of the paper right I&#8217;m not motivated when&#8230;  and then start writing the ideas that come to you for both sides of the paper.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to have a long list; just enough to get you thinking about what it is that does motivate you and what it is that prevents you from being motivated. This kind of clarity will support you greatly when you start looking at products in the self help motivation arena.</p>
<p>Well that&#8217;s it! A little bit of clarity goes a long way.</p>
